Bluesound, makers of the award-winning hi-res wireless multi-room line of audio players, announced a software update for the PULSE SOUNDBAR+ that introduces all-new audio settings for realistic home theater sound and adds support for the immersive power of Dolby Atmos. Ahead of the US Black Friday holiday, customers will be prompted to update their PULSE SOUNDBAR+ and experience an incredible soundstage that brings a whole new dimension to movies, music, games and shows.
The PULSE SOUNDBAR+ ($899 in black/$999 in White, U.S. MSRP) is the ultimate audiophile-grade soundbar that will satisfy any home entertainment need. An Immersive Dolby Atmos Experience
The unique BluOS implementation of Dolby Atmos in the PULSE SOUNDBAR+ features four virtualization profiles – Movie, Music, Late Night and Off – giving customers more features than typical in other soundbar implementations of Dolby’s audio processing technologies. While content that is encoded in Dolby Atmos will provide the most realistic experience, any content – from two-channel all the way up to seven-channel – can be virtualized to provide users a wider, higher, and more enveloping soundstage. PKvitality, a French company that specialized in Health and Sport bio-wearables today announced the start of a clinical study to determine the accuracy of the K’Watch Glucose. The trial is conducted with the AMCR Institute Inc, a clinical research center focused on diabetes and obesity with worldwide renowned medical device expertise in the metabolic area. Based on a unique SkinTaste technology, the K’Watch Glucose will be the first wearable smartwatch medical device that measures and displays glucose levels continuously, effortlessly, and painlessly. This major milestone is partly financed thanks to grant and equity investment from the European Commission through the EIC (European Innovation Council) fund.
PKvitality has been chosen by the EIC as one of the top innovative companies to offer a unique solution to a major global issue: today, the diabetes population is estimated to be of 463M people and should rise to 700M by 2045. The K’Watch Glucose project aims to facilitate the lives of millions of diabetes patients by offering a painless and discreet continuous glucose monitor.
This investment also demonstrates the renewed trust from public institutions in PKvitality projects, as already supported by European and French public institutions since their recognitions both in EUROSTARS contest, within Horizon 2020 framework, and in Innov’Up Leader PIA, a joined initiative from Region Ile-de-France and Bpifrance.

Qblox Cluster control stack is the go-to choice for the new 20-qubit quantum computer to put Sweden at the forefront of quantum technology. The Qblox fully-integrated control stack comprises dedicated and modular electronics developed in Delft, The Netherlands.
In the Quantum Technology Lab (QTL) of Chalmers University, the mission to create their first 20-qubit processor began in 2018, spearheaded by Dr Giovanna Tancredi with Prof Jonas Bylander and Prof Per Delsing. This processors’ purpose is to solve problems far beyond the capabilities of any available supercomputer. The QTL quantum processor will be based on superconducting circuits, a widely-used technology for quantum computing.
In order to effectively exploit a 20-qubit quantum computer, the QTL decided to procure robust and scalable control and readout electronics. Following a thorough tendering process between various well-known competitors from around the world, the procurement contract has been awarded to Qblox because of its ability to surpass the requested technical requirements and its ability in scaling up in the future.
The Qblox control stack comprises a fully-integrated system providing all software and hardware components to control and readout their quantum device. The new Cluster RF modules were launched at the APS March meeting 2021:
